National Association of Local Authorities of Ghana - NALAG is the umbrella organization of all Local Government Authorities in Ghana. These Local Authorities include all 215 Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies in Ghana.

The Principal Aims of the Association include

• To represent the rights, privileges and interest of all member local government authorities as affected by proposed or enacted legislation and to assist in maintaining a high standard of local government administration and local government service delivery.
• To provide fora for discussion and exchange of ideas, viewpoints and information on matters of common interest relating to government service delivery with a view to helping member local government authorities to solve their common problems.
• To assist the central government in the implementation and monitoring of its programmes in the district.
• To cooperate with other international local government associations or organizations, both government and non-governmental, with identical objectives for the promotion of effective and efficient local government administration.
